Two building science experts, a builder and a consultant/teacher, take your calls to answer questions you have about the energy efficiency DIY project you are thinking of doing on your house or to give you our advice about proposed work to be done by a contractor.  Ask Jim and Chris with more than 20 years of combined building science experience here in Vermont they will have an answer for you!

Jim Bradley is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Energy Auditor, Certified Passive House Builder (PHIUS), who ran his own building and remodeling/weatherization company for 15 years.  Recently Jim has been working as a project manager for Hayward Design Build in South Hero.  Jim is the current President of the Vermont Home Builders and Remodelers Association. Jim has been working through the VBRA to advance building science knowledge among builders and at the State House having testified before multiple State committees.

Chris West is a Certified Passive House Consultant and Trainer (Passive House Institute US and Passive House International) with 10 years of experience giving advice and consulting services to owners, architects, and builders of single family homes and multifamily buildings.  Chris does energy audits with Jim among other out of the office work.  Chris is a past President of the Vermont Home Builders and Remodelers Association, and is currently serving as the Presidential Appointee to the Board of Directors of the VBRA. Chris is the co-founder of the Vermont Passive House Association.
